Red Bull Music Academy Sub-Session: Dilla Day

Last Thursday was the first Red Bull Music Academy Sub-Session. We decided to do a tribute to the work of J Dilla and flew in Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, and Mrs. Yancey (J Dilla's mom) to do a question and answer session and a performance live on XM Radio. It was a truly amazing experience (I think everyone knows how much I loooove underground hip-hop) and Pete and Talib were really sweet guys. Look out for the link (to be published in a later blog) to the actual session, I think everyone will enjoy it! P.S.-Have I mentioned how much I love my job?!

Crystal City Sports Pub Challenge

Last night I competed in the ultimate of all Drinking contests: the Crystal City Sports Pub. I reached a new level of drunkiness and ended up on the side of Richmond Highway at 3:30 in the morning (but that's a whole other story).

For the "challenge" you have to take a shot, chug a beer (I did mine in 3.2 seconds), then you putt-putt golf, shoot darts, play pool, play air hockey, shoot some hoops, and auction of a drink you created. As I'm sure everyone can guess, I created the "Blue Bull", a combination of Red Bull and Blueberry vodka. (I'm hooked!)

Commonwealth Party!

Last Thursday (February 7th) Red Bull collaborated with Commonwealth (on Florida Ave, NW) to celebrate the launch of DC Shoe Company's newest creation.

The launch was amazing and the after party at Saki ruled my life. I danced like never before.

Superbowl Sunday

I've been slacking on the blog lately, so here's a slew of pictures to get you through the week.

Backstory: Devin and I went to Tyler's last night to watch the Superbowl. Tyler was on a mission to create a field goal out of Coors Lite cans and we accomplished it! (After I "took one for the team" and bonged 5 beers....) Maricel cooked some amazing food (Thanks M!), I cleaned Jada's ears, Jessica provided celebrity gossip, Rory made super entertaining phone calls, Tyler kept us all motivated for the Coors Lite field goal, Devin forgot how to read, and the girls killed the guys in an all-out Rockband competition. (I was the lead singer...killing it!)
